Countdown

SAFF is just a few days away and I am…not even close to being ready. October has just been this crazy whirlwind of travel! I was in Savannah for 5 days in the beginning of the month. Now I’m going to be gone for another 4 days for SAFF. Don’t get me wrong. I am ready to SAFF it up! I am just not excited about being gone from home again. Lucky for me, I will have ESC to snuggle room with at SAFF. That’ll make it all better.

I also had to…uh…compromise with B about what can and cannot come home from SAFF.

What can come home in moderation (hahahaha! moderation. That’s funny.):

  • yarn
  • roving
  • new ball winder
  • fleece

What canNOT come home AT ALL:

  • livestock
  • bunnies
  • livestock
  • bunnies
  • livestock

B disagrees with me that we can pass a miniature sheep as a dog. I think we could pass it off as a small sheep dog. Does that count as ironic?

  • I am violently allergic to bunnies. So there will be no bunnies in our room or car ride on the way home! *achooooo!*

  • OMG do they actually MAKE minature sheep???!!!!!!! That sounds like the world’s most perfect animal! Well, except for the minature cows. :)

  • Sounds like fun! I totally forgot about SAFF. I wanted to go this year, but I am so busy with boring school stuff. And my kids. The little jerks.

Miniture sheep? The dog would really hate me if I brought another animal home…. he still hasn’t gotten over having to share his house with the cats! Jeans and shirts are in the suitcase, GPS and radar detector are in the car… just have to pack the wheel!

  • Those babydoll sheep are scary. I’d stay away.

Have fun! Do you want recommendations on fleece pushers? Or do you want to find your own favorites?

But livestock and bunnies really are just fleece/yarn/roving-in-progress. So as far as I can tell, you’re free to bring those home as well.

I have a big yard and a Australian Shepherd mix dog who would keep all of your sheep in check. Bring them here on you way home. I know the San Francisco Bay Area isn’t quite on the way, but I’m sure that you and ESC could make it here and back in less than a week. We’d be happy have you both visit.
