Dogtired Bear this morning before I left for work.

That is one content puppy. [I use the word "puppy" very loosely. My dog is 5 years old.] He spent loads of time in Scott’s backyard this weekend. Running around, peeing on bushes, chasing …. something. Leaves maybe? I don’t know, but man, he was having the time of his life. He got lots of walks and attention and even a bath! OK, the bath he didn’t like so much. He thought he was being punished. But he’s so silky smooth now! And he smells good.

The trail running was great, except for the part where I thought I wouldn’t catch my breath again (damn asthma). Ruffner Mountain is so weird. It’s in the middle of the ‘hood. Literally. But there’s an old quarry that you can visit, and supposedly there are fossils in the quarry, but we didn’t see any. Anyway, the other weird thing about it was that pretty much the only other people we saw out there were tourists. Foreigners. People not of this land. I was kind of embarrassed that tourists would visit somewhere that was in the middle of the ‘hood, but whatever. Oh, and we ran the Quarry Trail. Well, we ran parts of it. It was great.

Saw Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride on Saturday. I really liked it. I really really liked the minimal use of color. We were also two of four people in the entire theatre. I loved that. No annoying talkers, cell phones, crying kids, etc.

I worked on the super secret project. I really like the way it’s turning out. You know how I know something is good? When I don’t want to give it away. And not in a "This is crap! I could never give this to someone else!" way, but in a "This is awesome. I want to keep it!" way. *sigh*

Oh, and I found a great sock pattern for my Aunt B’s socks, so I’ll be starting on those soon, too.

Also, Kate, I haven’t forgotten my promise to you. Picture will be coming soon.
