I know you have been amazed by my prolific blogging as of late (*snort*). I just thought I’d let you know that it will continue til Monday. I’m going out of town tomorrow. ROAD TRIP! WHEE!!!
I’m going to be in the Charlotte, NC area visiting a friend who has just come back to the States after teaching in a missionary school in Zimbabwe Uganda. She was in Uganda, but I like to say Zimbabwe, so when I would talk to her online, I’d always ask her how Zimbabwe was. And then she would say, "I don’t know. I’m in Uganda." She would never just pretend to be in Zimbabwe to humor me, which in turn, also humored me. Yeah, I know, weird sense of humor. You don’t even know the half of it. Probably better that you don’t.
Anyway, I did a quick yellow pages search for yarn stores and discovered one called Charlotte’s Web. I HAVE TO GO THERE. I mean, it’s called Charlotte’s Web. Not only a beautiful shawl that I have YET to knit, but also one of my all time favorite children’s books. Also, ready for the weird humor/irony? I AM TERRIFIED OF SPIDERS. Still, I am compelled to go. Also? YARN. ‘Nuff said.
Anyone in the Charlotte, NC area? Anyone know of any other yarn stores in the Charlotte, NC area? Oh, I just realized that maybe Charlotte’s Web might be called Charlotte’s Web because, oh, I don’t know, the store is in Charlotte, NC? Geez, I’m brilliant. Mind like a whip. Really. Also, did I mention I haven’t slept much this week? I love coffe. And sugar free energy drinks. Anyway, moving along.
To make this road trip even more fun, There is the possibility of two of my friends going with me. I say possibility because I haven’t hear from Viv in a few days. I think she cut her phone off. Again. Viv? Where are you? Are you still coming?
Anyway, she’s supposed to drive down from Kentucky tonight. DON’T TELL HER THAT IT’S FASTER TO DRIVE TO CHARLOTTE, NC FROM KENTUCKY. The whole point is so we can ride together. And maybe create a little mischief. Anyone want to start a collection for bail? Also, I’ll need a phone number of whomever it is I need to call so that they can post bail.
Tomorrow, on our way to Charlotte, NC, we will maybe be picking up Niki to also go with us. Now, I know you probably won’t believe this about me, but sometimes I instigate mischief. Hard to believe, I know. Unless you’ve met me. If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know that I love to have a good time. I also love mischief. There will be a camera going on this trip. Um, I’m going to stop now before I incriminate myself further. Especially since I haven’t done anything. YET.
Anyway, the point of all this rambling? I like to start shit. Viv will either back me on it or get involved and take it one step further. Add Niki to the mix? WE ARE CERTAIN TO GO TO JAIL. Maybe. But the odds go up EXPONENTIALLY.
This trip is going to be a blast. Oh yeah, and Heather, that we’re going to visit in Charlotte, NC who is staying with her brother at the moment? (Hi guys!) She’s our conscience. Without her, we would be lawless animals. Ok, maybe not, but she’s such a sweetie and makes sure we don’t get too terribly out of hand. Except that we won’t see her until we get to Charlotte, NC. Therefore, for the 6 or 7 hours that we are on the road, NO ONE IS SAFE. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED.
All righty then. I think I have sufficiently incriminated myself for the weekend. Keep an eye on the news.
edited: Oh right, the wine? I hereby solemly swear to NOT drink wine on the way TO or FROM Charlotte, NC. However, I am not responsible for my actions WHILE IN Charlotte, NC. Because I will be drinking wine. Also, this way Niki won’t feel like a big sinner because she smokes and no one else does. Together, we will be, uh, bad. Ok, that was lame. Anyway, also, tonight is the second meeting of the DNCATS (Do Nothing Club and Terrorist Society). I’m thinking that there will be wine there tonight. Because I will be bringing it. Also, if you live in the Forest Park/Highland Park/Southside area of B’ham, AL. Feel free to shoot me and e-mail and I will give you all the details so you can come too.

I hope you have a mischeivious time on your road trip and that antics involve copious wine consumption and plenty of ego boosting flirting with handsome strangers.
And when you get back you’ll know that your secret pal has sent your first parcel of goodies to you. Should arrive in time for your birthday.
