Coffee Loves Me Right Back

I’m not really sure why this is, but coffee seems to love me. It loves me in a "I will mark my territory" kind of way. Every morning I get a large mocha downstairs at the coffee shop at work. Almost every day, it drips on my leg and leaves its mark. I don’t why this is. Apparently I’m coffee’s bitch. I can live with that.

Other things I can live with: long weekends, pajama days, knitting on road trips, B’s ribs (The man knows how to grill and work a smoker. YUM.).

Dscf1154This past weekend was a nice lazy weekend. Best kind of weekend around when you just don’t feel like doing anything, you know? But even though there was a lot of laying around, I still have some progress on the sock to show for it. I may have gotten a little cocky with the "I don’t need no stinking pattern" attitude and had to rectify a certain heel turning situation (or lack thereof), but all is well and I am currently working on decreasing the instep. I’m hoping to have it finished by the end of this coming weekend, but we’ll see how it goes. Oh yeah, and the logo is actually on the side of the sock, but I kind of twisted it around a little bit so you can see the whole logo. Turned out quite well, if I do say so myself.

Saturday night we did make it out of town and over to Atlanta to have dinner with some friends. Some who were there for Dragon Con and some who, I found out, live right outside of Atlanta and have lived there for quite some time. Anyway, I have no pictures of that because I was too busy looking at all the crazy costumes walking around the streets of downtown Atlanta. It was….quite a sight.
