So I went to help my sister move on Saturday. I had been up kinda late Friday night and then got up way too early on Saturday morning to drive to Tuscaloosa, which is an hour away. All I had was a cup of coffee on the way over to keep me awake and I was starving when I got to her place. We were standing in her living room talking and I kept going on and on about how hungry I was and could we go get something to eat. Well, I was looking at two signs on her wall that I had given her a couple years ago for Christmas. One says "NO dogs or sailors allowed on grass" and the other one says "No one will be served on horseback at the bar" or something like that.
While looking at the signs, I had two thoughts in my head. 1) You’re taking those with you, right? and 2) I am hungry and I want a chicken biscuit from Chick-Fil-A!
What I did was point at the signs on the wall and ask, "Chicken biscuit?"
Yes, I have a college degree. What of it?
Sunday went a little better. Scott and I drove to Atlanta for the day. We went to the High Museum of Art. We got there a little later than we meant to because, uh, somebody couldn’t leave before the Olympic Men’s Hockey game was over (US v. Sweden). It was a good game, but I’m still a little mad that we lost.
We really didn’t have as much time to look around in the museum as we would have liked, but we did get to see a lot of stuff. I got a little inspired to make my own "art" while we were in the elevator. Also, the High charges you to look at their art. In Birmingham, our art museum doesn’t charge you to look at their art unless you are looking at an exhibit. We weren’t anticipating that. Still, it wasn’t the end of the world and they didn’t ask for your soul or anything like that. I just always assumed that museums were free. And that they made all their money in the gift shop and from rich patrons. I guess the patrons are dying and people aren’t buying stuff in the gift shops anymore. But I digress.
Sunday was a really gray and overcast day and when we made it into Atlanta, the clouds were so low, you couldn’t see the top of some of the buildings.
We also went to the Flying Biscuit in Midtown for lunch. We walked over to Piedmont Park after we ate because we were a block from it and maybe ate a little too much and needed to walk it off.
Then we went to IKEA, because Scott had never been and I heart IKEA. A LOT.We also went to Whole Foods. I can’t wait for the Whole Foods to open in Birmingham. Then we headed back home. It was kinda dark when we left Atlanta.

Heh heh. Chicken biscuit?
