Change of Plans

I fixed my dropped stitch finally! YIPPEE!!!! I have begun the very beginning of the heel. I got so excited about it that I’ve decided it would be best if I did more at home. I can take pictures of my progress at home. However, there has been a change of plans for tonight. Remember how I said I was just going to stay home and knit? Well, those plans changed. I’ll be knitting until about a quarter to 7 and then I’m going to meet a friend for dinner. This friend is a cute male friend whom I haven’t been in touch with for at least two years. We bumped into each other last week and he called today during lunch and wanted to know if I was free tonight. I thought it would be rude to say, I can’t catch up with you tonight because I have to knit. As much as I hate to admit it, friends should come before knitting. So should family. However, sometimes it can become a conflict of interest if you are knitting for friend or family. Right, anyway, I will be going home, walking the dogs, freshening up for dinner and trying to squeeze in a little knitting before I have to leave. Good think I live close to where I work and the restaurant is walking distance from my apartment. Whew. At least I’m not driving all over God’s country tonight.
