Breaking News!

My most fabulous pal of secretness, things have taken a turn for the better in the life of Mary*. Karma, apparently, was out to get John*, not Mary.

Here are some things Mary forgot to mention (sometimes she’s a flighty bird, that Mary):

Brian* is an amazing person. Funny, cute, smart and engaging. Not to mention very sweet. Despite the awkwardness of John seeing Mary having drinks with Brian, Mary had no problem engaging Brian in conversation and vice a versa. She also enjoyed herself thoroughly with Brian. Even more so once John had left the restaurant. Mary would definitely like to pursue spending more time with Brian. Brian has also expressed similar interest.

Also, Mary’s greatest concern over John was that she wanted to avoid the awkwardness of the situation that did occur to avoid John having hurt feelings. However, karma felt differently about this situation and events unfolded as stated previously.

Mary, however, really likes Brian. Mary’s dog also likes Brian (and this is INCREDIBLY important). A quick word about Mary’s dog (We’ll call him Lion. to protect Mary.) Lion is one of those dogs who has two setting when it comes to humans: love and disinterest. Generally, Lion shows great disinterest to most humans, especially males. There are maybe two males whom Lion will follow all over the place and beg for attention. That number has now increased to three. That right there in itself is breaking news. According to Mary.

Mary may or may not have actually spent more time with Brian yesterday. My sources have not confirmed this information at this time. My sources have confirmed, however, that they will be attending a party together later this evening at an undisclosed location so as to avoid paparazzi and all that. (Mary says it’s tough being a celebrity. I wouldn’t know.)

I think that Mary needed someone like Brian to come into her life to realize that there are better things out there other than John.

This is not to say that Mary doesn’t still care for John as a friend, because she does. He is a special person in her life and always will be. However, she also realizes that he has been given AMPLE opportunity to declare monogamy in a "dating" relationship and/or to profess undying love and has not done so. Therefore, he is not worthy of that kind of time or attention from Mary any longer. (That came directly from Mary.)

Also, since that incident, Mary has received no communication whatsoever from John, which is only another indication that Mary is moving in the right direction. (There was also an incident Friday a week ago in which John told Mary that he needed space. Believe you me, she gave it to him.) Mary feels that should John decide to profess his love or decide now that he wants a monogamous relationship, it is too late.

Also, about Margaret. Margaret is a very dear and sweet woman. However, Margaret is an old friend of John’s and the relationship is purely platonic. This has been witnessed by Mary and is rather obvious to any who know John and Margaret.
