Yesterday was one of those days where I was so tired, I couldn’t even bring myself to post. I thought about it. I thought about just typing BOOBS over and over and over again and that was going to be the entire post. (Just for you, Bob.) But just the thought of typing BOOBS once and then copying and pasting over and over again was exhausting. EXHAUSTING. Which probably explains why I went home and fell asleep for an hour, walked the dog and then was back asleep BEFORE 8:00 pm. But who knows?
Anyhoo, the baby hat? It looks like this right now:
Yes, that’s right. It’s NOT FINISHED.
However, in my client’s defense, your honor, she knitted and knitted and knitted Tuesday night (while at Scott’s) decreasing her little heart out only to realize that she had created THE UGLIEST BABY HAT EVER. So she frogged it back and went with plan B, which was to make the baby jester hat. (Which was originally plan A, but I digress.)
Yeah. I caved. I went over to Scott’s. I really did knit before attempting to kick his ass at Zuma only to fail miserably (at both finishing the hat and kicking ass in Zuma). The frustration of making THE UGLIEST BABY HAT EVER (echo) was what drove me to the Zuma. I needed to relieve some stress. I ended up sucking at Zuma anyway. I want a rematch. I WILL kick that game’s ass. AND I’ll do it before Scott will. Um, competitive much? DOWN GIRL. It’s just a game.
So back to the hat. All that is left is to kitchner stitch the top three times, do a little i-cording and voila! The hat will be done.
I have also decided that I don’t want to make baby booties. I’m going to make another hat instead. And, given my time constraints and the fact that I’m going out of town tomorrow night, I thought it would be in my best interest to attempt aran knitting for the first time.
Fabulous, no? Crazy? DEFINITELY. I’ll keep you posted.
