I, well B and I, made a trek out to Knit Nouveau last night so I could get the appropriate colored yarn for Little Man’s socks and mittens. Oh, and some size 1 dpns. Reggie was working last night. She is the sweetest person on the face of the planet, I believe. I always get warm fuzzies when I see her because she makes you feel so special. She’s great. She also helped me pick out the correct shade of blue. Lucky for me, the Regia was on sale.
Something happened last night that never happens when I go to the LYS. I spent less than $50. I normally have a hard time keeping it close to $50 and under $100. I did, however, restrain myself from buying yarn to make the scarf and hat. Baby steps, right? Also, I simply do NOT see myself making him a scarf with sock yarn. According to my calculations that would only take…6 millions years…give or take a few days.
When we got home last night, I worked on the heel of the PS some more, but started falling asleep, so I felt it was in my best interest to put the sock down lest I drop the needle jump out of my hands again. Tonight is SNB and I’m going to probably be alternating between working on the heel of PS and casting on for Little Man’s Auburn socks. Maybe. Or maybe the mittens. I haven’t knit mittens yet and I’m kind of excited about that. I would cast on for one sock and one mitten, but I don’t think I have enough needles. Poo.
How do you like that Regia yarn? I’m using their 4-ply silk to make Nathan some socks. It feels GREAT, but I can already tell it’s going to pill like a *#&$&(@%.
