Baby Shower Success

I did NOT finish the baby hat before I made it to the shower. I did however, make it to the shower on time. And apparently, this was more important than the baby hat being finished. I did finish it while I was there. My non-knitting friends find it so strange that I knit, so they felt the need to document it. Here is proof that I did in fact knit the baby hat while AT the baby shower. The expression on my face? or lack thereof? Yeah, I didn’t get too much sleep the night before. I make the zombie face a lot, apparently.

Here she is with the finished hat:

I don’t understand why people do this, and this has happened more than once: I make this hat for the BABY and the PARENTS TRY TO PUT IT ON. Um, hello, do you see how big the hat is? Yeah, your head is NOT THAT SMALL. Still, it’s funny when they do it.

Hhhmmmm? What’s that? Why was I so tired and zombie like at the baby shower? I do believe it had something to do with going to bed at about 2:30 am and getting up at 9:00 am to leave Montgomery by 10:00 am to be in Alabaster at 11:00 am. You think?

What was that? How was Montgomery? Why, I’m so glad you asked. I had a fabulous time. Gezoleen was amazing. Scott is amazing. We really had a good time. The drive down was fun, the time in Montgomery was fun. It was just a great time all the way around. I am a very happy girl, and we will leave it at that.
