Another Reason I Love My Husband

Last night after the failed attempt at sewing, I finished spinning the wool top I handdyed at SAFF. If I do say so myself, I am really pleased with how it turned out. I think it’s somewhere in the lace/finger-weight of yarn.

Anyway, I’m spinning away my frustration with the sewing machine and B is on the couch studying. He looks up,?watches me spin for a few minutes and then says:

Baby, that is some mighty fine yarn you’re spinning. You might need to upgrade your wheel.

Me: Blank stare.

B: [concerned he's made a huge spinning faux pas] If you want to. You don’t have to.

Me: But I like my wheel!

B: You don’t have to get a new one! But you’re just doing such a great job spinning, I thought maybe you’d want to get a more expensive or nicer wheel. Not that your wheel isn’t nice!

Me: Blank stare

Me: Well… if I were to do anything, I think I’d rather order another Baynes and have one strictly for plying.

B: That makes sense.

Yes, he does have a brother, but he’s already married and no where near as cool as B.
