This weekend I realized something about myself. I eat dead baby animals. Namely, lamb. Little sis came to visit this weekend and we had ourselves a good ole time. In fact, we had so much fun, she’s coming back next week and staying even longer. Wheee!!!
Friday night Scott and I went and watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation at the Alabama Theatre. It was fun. I’d never seen Christmas Vacation before. Where have I been? Saudi Arabia. Anyway, I really enjoyed it. It’s laugh out loud funny. That’s some good stuff.
Naomi came over after that. She went to see Handel’s Messiah with the folks. I opted out. [Long story, but I am once again currently not speaking to my mother.] So the sister came to hang out afterwards. She got to my place around 10 or so. The three of us stayed up until about 2 am.
Saturday was spent shopping for shoes [April] and hosiery [me] and top to wear with a skirt [me] that ended up not getting worn in the end – top and skirt. I ended up taking the top back, but I did get a cute little red cardigan that I decided to keep. Oh, and while shopping at Old Navy at the Summit, we ran into Charles Barkley. He said hello to me when I was walking into the dressing room and said hello to Naomi when we were walking out. We’re cool. Sure, you can touch me.
Saturday night was spent at Cave 9 looking at art – visual and performance, watching bands play and seeing Rhea dance. Rhea is an amazing dancer. After that it was off to eat something. We decided to go for some mediterranean food. This is when I discovered/realized that I like to eat dead baby animals. This realization was shared by both Naomi and Scott. So, really, it’s not just me. There was a lot of absurd conversation [which is just how we like it]. For Example:
Grace: Wow, Scott, that’s a lot of dead baby animal you got there.
Scott: Yeah, I think I got the whole family.
We’re terrible people who are probably going to hell, but we’re having so much fun! Sunday Naomi and I made breakfast: crepes [Naomi], canadian bacon and eggs [me]. It was fabulous. Our new favorite topping for crepes? Nutella with raspberry fruit spread. Scott came up with that combination. It’s a winner, folks.
Also? I didn’t take a single picture this weekend. I did work on the sleeve a little bit yesterday. 3 more repeats before I start on the shorter repeats. I realized something last night too. After I finish this sleeve, I can seam this bitch up and then all that is left is the hood. People, I might actually get to wear this thing THIS winter. That right there is motivation. That, and Scott really won’t make me any more designs until I finish the damn thing.

Um, I believe that was Blackberry fruit spread. Not raspberry. Still though, winning combination indeed. So much fun! Sigh. Miss you.
And what, you can mention Rhea’s performance but not the fabulous costume she was wearing that I MADE??? Damn you.
yum lamb
thanks for the birthday greeting!
