Last week a co-worker asked me if I knew anyone who wanted a cat because due to personal circumstances, she was unable to keep her cat. Turns out this cat is 4 years old, goes by “mama kitty” and is sweeter than pie. She’s used to being around other animals, too. I talked to B and he reluctantly accepted the fact that I was going to bring this cat home. Well, she came home with me last night.
She really did not care for the car ride home. And once I got her home, she and Chloe immediately began yowling and hissing at each other and slinking around one another, but no hackles went up and no cat fight ensued. Just a lot of hissing. It was a pissing contest of sorts. I think they were trying to see who had the more intimidating hiss. Or something.
Shortly after that she found herself a nice piece of furniture to hide under and pretty much stayed there all night. This morning, she started to feel more brave and ventured out and started checking out her surroundings. Eventually, she made her way back to BAD Boy’s room and found a nice comfy spot to claim.
She’s currently accepting pets and dispensing purrs like there’s an overstock. AND, the best part? She is not afraid of Charlie in the least bit. If he gets to close, she puts him in his place. He’s learning (albeit slowly) that he is no longer the boss. Maybe Chloe will learn a few tricks from the new cat.
I think she’s going to settle in just fine. Now if we can just come up with a name for her…

Queen Elizabeth
She’s gorgeous! I don’t have a name yet, it takes me forever to name my own cats! You could name her Chester? or Charro? I think all your animals’ names should start with CH. hehehe
Sweet pookie baby! she is squishy cute!!
