My MIL’s shawl is done.
I have to say, despite our disputes, the SeaSilk really came through for me in the end. I love this shawl. It’s the Flower Basket Shawl again, but it is such a fantastic pattern to knit and very easy to memorize. I’d knit it again and that is saying something because I almost never knit anything more than once and I’ve already knit this shawl twice. I love the pattern that much. I’d knit with the SeaSilk again, too. I just hope my MIL likes this shawl as much as I do.
All that is left is the chevron scarf for my mother. Though, at the rate it’s knitting up, it’ll be more like a Christmas/birthday present combo rather than just a Christmas present. I’ve been knitting on it FOREVER and I STILL haven’t finished up the first two balls of Koigu and I’ve got another two balls to go. I’ve got until the end of March to finish it if it’s going to be a birthday present as well. Wish me luck!

I’ve knit 3 of this pattern, but none so lovely as this one! GORGEOUS!!!! If the MIL doesn’t like, i’d keep it!

Not only did you win the battle with the seasilk – you totally rocked it! That came out so nice, she’s absolutely going to love it.
Best of luck with your finishing.
