"Write That Down"

We’ve been watching an awful lot of movies lately. Not that I mind. I just realized it. We watched Van Wilder last night. Very cute. Some of it funny, some of it gross.

Didn’t get any knitting done, but spent some quality time with David so that was a great trade up. We took a walk around the neighborhood and then stopped and chatted with some neighbors. A good, relaxing night.

Tonight we have our BHHA (Bessemer Historic Homeowners Association) meeting. I’m kind of apathetic toward this group, mostly because it’s been a lot of talk and not a lot of doing. The new president is more gung ho about doing, but not in the direction I would like to see. Ok. OFF the soap box.

There is a great Jennifer Garner fan website. Check it out:

More Pictures…Not Knitting Related

I am not a huge Kiss fan, so to me, that makes this all the more funny, but then I have a warped sense of humor like that. David got this Gene Simmons Kiss doll for his cousin Jason:

We were playing around with it before we gave it to Jason and David tossed him into my car and he landed perfectly in the passenger seat, like he was a real passenger, so I seat belted him in and he drove around with me for about 2 weeks like that. Weird? Yes. Normal for me? Yes. :)

This is Jason with Gene:

See the resemblance?

Back to the Grind

I had such a great weekend. It was hard to think about coming to work today. I just wanted my weekend to keep going.:)

I am loving my new haircut.

David and I went to an auction yesterday afternoon and bought a great Eastlake chair with a cane bottom for $35. Steal! It’s so great! Just too bad there was only one. :) Still, we need all the furniture we can find for our big empty house.

We watched Thirteen and Kill Bill Vol. 1 this weekend. Thirteen was much scarier than Kill Bill. I was NEVER confronted with those issues until I got to college! I certainly grew up a lot more sheltered than that! Scary!!!

I worked a little on my free form. Slowly, an idea is shaping in my head of how I want it to look. I’m trying to see if I can make it into a purse. We’ll see how that goes. :)

Well, I’ve got a busy week and weekend ahead of me. I better started before it starts without me!

It's the weekend!

We watched Thirteen last night at the neighbors. What a depressing movie! It makes me not want kids. I’m not saying that if I had kids, they’d turn out like that, but the potential of that happening to anybody with children frightens me. However, with all that said, it was an amazingly well done movie. Anyway, enought about that.

I got my hair cut this morning and I got my bangs, which are taking a little getting used to, but I like them, and I got it all one length in the back, which is nice and feeling less mullet-like (www.mulletsgalore.com).

I had my nails done last night, I saw the chiropractor yesterday and I’m feeling like a new person today. Very nice. Well, I’m going to get some things done today at work and at home and maybe even fit in a little knitting this afternoon or tomorrow… Have a great weekend!

Knitting Therapy

So, I never made it home yesterday before SnB to get either of my sweaters I’m working on…so I bought some new needles and yarn and started free forming last night. It was great therapy. I also finally broke down and bought a basket to keep my yarn in. Both of my projects fit in there nicely, but I think I’m going to need another one for the rest of my yarn. :) What a terrible problem to have. :)

I’m so excited because I’m going to the chiropractor today!!!!! Yippee! I need it desperately.

Tomorrow I’m getting bangs. I’m trying to grow my hair out to one length again, but I’ve decided it’ll take too long to grow out the bangs, so I’m getting them cut to actually look like bangs again. :) Whoohoo!!

TGIF!!!!!HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!!

Two Great Things Happened Last Night

1. The bra I won off of eBay came in last night and it fits perfectly and is SO SUPER COMFORTABLE!

2. We booked our cruise!!!!! Yeah! It’s not until September, but that’s when I can take a vacation, since I just started my new job a month ago and it’s an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. and we’re going to 4 different ports. :)

Now I have an even better reason to start knitting a bikini. :) To show it off on our fabulous cruise. I guess I better start working out again. :)

SnB is tonight and I left my knitting at home so I’ve got to run by the house before I got to SnB, which means I’ll be a little late, but oh well, better late than never. Only bad thing is that I probably won’t get a seat on the wonderfully plush couch. :( I’ll live though. :) I can’t believe I left without my sweaters! Oh well, it’ll all be good. Maybe I’ll have time at lunch to run home and get it . . .

A Nice Night at Home

That’s what David and I had last night. We just hung out at home and watched Orange County. It’s a cute movie, but not as funny as it was marketed.

I knit one row on the Hoodie last night. Tomorrow night is SNB. Yeah! I think I’ll take both projects with me. I’m going to get someone to show me how to properly change colors and start a new skein. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow night, especially since I missed the last time!
